Morgan Legacy Partners Heads South to Heighten Its Impact on Affordable Housing

CHARLOTTE, NC (7/2/21) — Morgan Legacy Partners, Inc. (“MLP”), a privately owned real estate investment company with a mission to make affordable housing available to everyone, is proud to announce that, as of July 1, it has relocated its corporate headquarters from Goffstown, NH to Charlotte NC, along the “I85 Corridor”. The “Corridor” is a vital local transportation link between Greenville and Spartanburg SC and Charlotte NC, areas where the vast majority of MLP’s properties are located. These areas are growing rapidly and yet represent one of the most underserved populations with respect to affordable housing. “This is where our work is most effective and necessary”, says Peter Morgan, MLP’s founder and President. “We believe that we can help build individual financial independence and support strong community development through our investment in this region.”
With its focus on mobile home parks, MLP is building progressive affordable housing communities that will ultimately be 100% resident owned. The model has proven success in many states throughout the US. “Across the board, residents are eager to have a stake in their home and community, and we are here to help them reach that goal,” says Morgan.
The HQ move will give MLP a more consistent presence along the Corridor and allow the company to grow its asset base significantly over the next 3-5 years.
Together with MLP’s new HQ, the company is proud to announce that Krysten Reilly, who joined the company in 2020, has become MLP’s first Chief Operating Officer. Operating out of the Charlotte HQ, Reilly will help lead MLP in its mission to boost affordable housing options for communities along the I85 Corridor. Reilly says “I couldn’t be more excited to help MLP strengthen its asset base in the South. We are working hard to bring provide safe and affordable housing options to our target communities.”
